Growing up in Jalal-Abad, the Kyrgyz Republic, Baisal spent his childhood with school friends and helping his mother care for his two younger siblings. His favorite memories, however, featured admiring his mother’s paintings that seemingly came to life in their living room.

The Aga Khan Health Services Clinic in Dushanbe is a stand-alone facility with its own lab and operating room. It provides basic check-ups as well as gynecological services, dentistry, and non-invasive surgery. The clinic provides private quality healthcare at low costs, and subsidizes treatments for those who can prove need.
