Visual Art Competition

The Youth Art Competition provides a platform for young artists to explore and express their perspectives and solutions, through the universal language of art, on improving quality of life for all. See a display of the top finalists, find out who our panel of judges have selected, and vote for the People’s Choice!

AWARDS

  • First Place: $300 (additional $100 awarded to student’s teacher)
  • Second Place: $200 (additional $100 awarded to student’s teacher)
  • Third Place: $100 (additional $100 awarded to student’s teacher)
  • People’s Choice: $100

Spoken Word Competition

The Spoken Word Competition encourages young minds to reflect upon and express their perspectives and solutions, through poetry and oral art, on improving the quality of life for all. Hear from our finalists, find out who our panel of judges have selected, and vote for the People’s Choice!

Innovation Competition

Teams of high school students will research real-world issues faced by local communities and develop a practical, sustainable, and innovative solution. The goal of this creative problem-solving competition is not only to empower students to apply their knowledge and skills for the betterment of their communities, but also to raise awareness of pressing issues around us. Teams will present their solutions at the Youth Festival.

  • Second Place: $300
  • People’s Choice: $200

The mission of the Aga Khan Foundation Youth Ambassadors is to cultivate a culture of awareness through artistic expression, innovative solutions, and partnering with communities to improve quality of life. The Youth Ambassadors strive to think globally and act locally.
