We are pleased to announce a new partnership with World Bank to implement the Water Emergency Relief Project (WERP) in Afghanistan.

The Water Emergency Relief Project aims to improve access to safe drinking water and irrigation services in selected rural areas of Afghanistan. Over the course of the next two years, WERP will provide 1,226,880 people with this critical water support.

WERP also seeks to help narrow the existing gender gaps in the region by meaningfully engaging women in project implementation.

WERP is supported by the World Bank and is being implemented in partnership with the United Nations Office or Project Services (UNOPS).
